There are many opportunities for learning and growing in the Christian life at
SLCC.
Education
Sunday Morning Classes. Sloan’s Lake Church is blessed with excellent teachers in a variety of classes for every age each Sunday morning. Please call the church office at 303-458-8186 for specific class information.
Our adult classes include a variety of offerings which focus on Christian living, such as the following:
- Christian Living: Bible and book studies which emphasize living the Christian faith in the modern world.
- Discipleship: Emphasizing Biblical principles for growing in relationship with Christ and obedience to His will.
- Classes focusing on common issues and topics highly relevant to specific interests.
New classes are constantly being developed and offered to adult members, and your input into potential offerings is invited.
Our student ministry classes: A class for Middle School and Senior High, where the students spend time in Scripture and learn how to apply it to their lives is available every Sunday Morning.
Our children's classes are arranged by age, beginning with 2-3 years (potty trained). Each class has its own unique teacher and activities. A complete list of our children’s classes and ministries can be found in the information for Children’s Ministries.
Music Ministry
The purpose of our Music Ministry is to offer people an environment and opportunity to experience and worship the God who loves them just as they are.
Sloan’s Lake Community Church ministers to a wide variety of age groups and interests. Opportunities are available for those with special interest and abilities in music. Those opportunities include:
Worship teams consist of four to five singers who sing in the worship service. Their role is to assist the worship leader in leading worship and assist the congregation in singing praises to the Lord in a free and unrestrained manner.
During the Holidays seasons a special bell choir will ring in the festive feel of the Christmas and Easter holidays.
There are also soloists, trios, duets, quartets and other vocal and instrumental combinations used regularly in our worship.
If you are interested in participating in any of these opportunities or if you have musical talent you would like to give to the Lord In worship please contact us at 303-458-8186.

Children's Ministry
The purpose of our Children’s ministry is to model and mold the love of Christ in all we do with children.
Come join the fun! Here at Sloan’s Lake Community Church we have an exciting and stimulating children’s program.
Sunday Mornings. We have classes for all age groups: Nursery (birth - 2 years); God’s Busy Bees (3 - 4 years or preschool); Kindergarten; and 1st— 6th grades. During our Worship hour we encourage our children to join in worship with their parents. We provide children’s worship folders and coloring pages. We also have a multi-age class available during this hour. We are staffed with loving and caring teachers whose goal is to teach love and respect for God, others and ourselves. Our children know they are a vital part of our church family.
Wednesday Evenings. During the school year children can participate in our Wednesday Knights program. We meet from 6:30 to 8:30 in a multi-age group focused on having fun while learning about God’s Word. We learn through cool and sometimes messy crafts, up-to-date music, awesome games, delicious snacks, and Bible stories that will stay with the children for a lifetime. This is a great time to meet and make new friends while experiencing God’s outrageous love.
Special Events. During the year we have three very special events: The Children’s Christmas Program; Children’s Day; and Vacation Bible School
(VBS). Our Christmas Program is open to all kids age 4 (pre-K) through 6th grade, and is the high point of the Christmas season.
Children’s Day is a special Sunday in June dedicated to the celebration of children. Our morning worship services on that day focus on how special children are and how vital they are to our church.
Vacation Bible School meets morning for one week during the summer. We share in songs, plays, stories, and much, much more. This is a party you won’t want to miss!
This is the place to be for children who want to have fun and share in the unconditional love of God. Please call the church office at 303-458-8186, for more information.
Our Nursery is open all morning on Sundays, on Wednesday evenings, and during most church activities. |
